Hello All, I'm a Type 2 diabetic who enjoys the late night snacks. I've been trying not to snack so late because I go to sleep with my blood sugar high. I work swing shift,So by the time I get home I'm a bit hungry. I've been trying to eat a little later at work, but it doesn't work! I'm trying to STOP! Anybody else have a late snack issue?

New And Scared

I just found out two days ago that I am now a Diabetic. I have no insurance so getting supplies and making sure that I have the tools I need to stay healthy is very difficult on me. I was glad to see a place where I could meet people that understand what I am going through. My husband is super supportive but doesn't fully understand, and neither do I.

Any advice or suggestions on getting supplies, foods, life in general would be so helpful.

I know I can live with this, just…

Hello Sarah:  thank you very much for the gift and for friending me.  Don't know much about this site, cause I just found it.  Been looking for  a site like this and a friend to talk to about diabetes, since I was just diagnosed, it has all been very overwhelming for me.  I am on insulin, twice a day and still cannot get my sugar levels down at night time.  Got very good doctors though and they are always there when I need them.  So am working on it.  Yes I have lived in Maine all my life, born and brought up here, wouldn't want to live anywhere else.  Thanks again, your new friend, Joyce
